Artist's FAQ

Game Access '22 is a grand event, full of talks, presentations and content spread over various zones and sections. One of such sections is the beautiful Art Alley. Oh, you want to exhibit there? Wonderful. Let us answer all your frequently asked questions.

If you did not find what you were looking for in this list of answers, don’t hesitate to contact us at artists@game-access.com.

Art Alley is a space where creators can present their works to our attendees. We provide you with a ticket to our event and a space, be it a wall to hang a painting, or a table for 3D models. In turn, you provide the art.

That depends on the type of art you’ll bring. We understand that each creator is different, so we aim to connect your and your fellow artists' work in such a way, as to fit into the Art Alley effectively and aesthetically.

Do not worry, each artist will receive the same amount of space. You will not have to compete with your colleagues.

It’s very simple. Game Access is a game development conference, so we are looking for gaming and game-inspired art. It could be fanart of your favorite character from Witcher 3, a worldbuilding concept for your tabletop campaign or 3D models of spaceships.

For bonus points, aim for good design and creativity. Art exists to tell stories, and even a simple painting by a beginner artist can hide many layers of detail and meaning, despite not being technically perfect.

Also, keep it civil. Light nudity and/or violence are acceptable (especially if the art piece scores those bonus points!), but please don’t send us porn, gore, or gore porn. And it should go without saying that any art inciting hate or discrimination is automatically off the table.

We prefer and primarily accept non-commercial artworks.

There is a simple reason for this. The Art Alley exists to showcase something new and interesting, bring inspiration to our attendees, and connect game developers with unknown artists and styles. If you're one of the artists who designed Night City, then hey, you're amazing, but if our attendees want to see your work on Cyberpunk 2077, they can just play Cyberpunk 2077 — they don't need the Art Alley for that.

That being said, if you DID work on Cyberpunk 2077, but you also have a ton of mind-blowing personal artworks that the gamedev world never had a chance to see live, then come on in and register!

Once each conference day, we will have an hour-long block where we'll invite attendees to come and check out the Art Alley. We would like you to be present for these Art Alley blocks, so you can communicate with your potential fans and partners.

Other than that, you are free to enjoy the event just like any other visitor :)

Attendees will also be able to check out your portfolio and send you a message request trough our conference meeting app.

Yes, our staff will make sure of it :)

Nope :/ We understand that some of your works might be in digital form only, but unfortunately, we don’t have our own dedicated printers for 2D or 3D art. Being the middleman between you and a third party printing service would cost way too much precious time and resources, and drive us crazy.

Our advice? Use Game Access as motivation to finally transform your favorite pieces into physical form. We guarantee you won’t regret it. You might even end up selling some artworks to our attendees!

If your registration is approved, we might use the form information you provided on our website, as a form of promotion for both you and us. We will also include the links to your socials in the conference meeting app. But don’t worry, we won’t share any sensitive information with the internet or third parties.

Cosplayer's FAQ

You’re thinking about performing at Game Access, but there are questions haunting your mind? Well, you’ve come to the right place! Let us explain more.

If you did not find what you were looking for in this list, don’t hesitate to contact us at artists@game-access.com.

Game Access is a conference for game developers, so we expect you to either create or use one of your existing costumes inspired by video games. That’s really only the only requirement set in stone.

Of course, what also matters is the quality and scope of your work, the details, design, technical and visual innovations, and your overall skill as a performer. However, we are not necessarily looking for cosplay superstars, so don’t be discouraged; passion and attitude are the most important traits you can have.

We will discuss your options and our expectations once you fill out the registration form.

We understand that some costumes may start to feel uncomfortable after an extended wear, and that cosplayers might want to take a break from all the attention and attend the conference as “civilians” for a little while.

Therefore, we have decided to set up a reasonable daily requirement - 6 hours, roughly half of a conference day.

You are of course free to stay in costume longer if you wish to, but after the 6 hour mark, your obligations to us are over for the day. You can then enjoy the conference as a regular attendee.

And don’t worry, we are not employing the Spanish inquisition to time your performance :) You’ll simply say hello to our cosplayers’ manager when you arrive, and then inform them once you take the costume off.

Yes, you will be able to dress in private and our staff will make sure your things are safe.

If your registration is approved, we might use the form information you provided on our website, as promo for both you and us. We will also include the links to your socials in the conference meeting app. But don’t worry, we won’t share any sensitive information with the internet or third parties.
